Cookie
policy
The honest version: one cookie to sign you in, a couple of your own settings kept in your browser, and nothing at all that follows you around the internet.

One cookie that matters
A single session cookie signs you in and keeps you signed in. Without it there is no account, no balance and no games.
A few of your own settings
Sound on or off, scratch or quick-reveal. Stored in your browser, never sent to us, never used to identify you.
Zero advertising trackers
No ad pixels, no retargeting, no cross-site profiling, no data brokers. We are an affiliate site, not an ad network.
Demo build
This is a demonstration build of Scratch Card Joe. The wording below is a genuine draft written for this site, but it has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor. Final terms will be checked professionally before the site goes live.
What cookies actually are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep, and hands back to the site on your next request. They exist because the web is otherwise forgetful — without one, a site has no way of knowing that the person loading this page is the same person who signed in a minute ago.
Local storage does a similar job, but the data stays in your browser and is never automatically sent anywhere. We use it for your own preferences.
scj_sessionStrictly necessarySigns you in and keeps you signed in. Holds a signed token identifying your account — nothing else, and nothing readable by JavaScript.

AnalyticsAnalytics (aggregate)If enabled, counts page views and rough traffic sources so we know which pages get used. Aggregate only — it does not build a profile of you or follow you to other sites.
- Lifetime
- Session or short-lived

- First party / privacy-respecting provider
What we keep in local storage
These never leave your browser and are not tied to your identity. Clearing your browser data resets them to the defaults.
Sound preference
Whether the scratch card sound effects are on or muted, so you do not have to set it every visit.
Reveal preference
Whether you would rather scratch cards by hand or use the quick-reveal button.
Interface state
Small bits of UI state, like whether you have dismissed a notice.
Third-party content on the site
The Kick video player is embedded on the watch page. When it loads, Kick may set its own cookies in your browser, exactly as it would if you visited kick.com directly. We have no control over those and cannot read them — they are covered by Kick’s own cookie and privacy policies.
Casino links on this site are ordinary outbound links. We count the click on our own server before redirecting you, so no third-party tracking script runs on this site to do it. Once you land on a casino, that operator’s own cookies and policies apply.
No advertising tracking, full stop
There are no advertising cookies, no retargeting pixels, no social media trackers and no data-broker scripts on scratchcardjoe.com. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell data. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
How to control cookies
You are in charge of your browser. You can block cookies, delete the ones already stored, or set your browser to ask you each time. Be aware that blocking the scj_session cookie will stop you signing in — there is no way around that, because it is the only thing telling us who you are.
Questions and changes
If we add a cookie, this page changes and the date at the top changes with it. If we ever wanted to introduce anything non-essential beyond aggregate analytics, we would ask for your consent first.
